When Jillian Michaels left her post as a trainer on "The Biggest Loser," in Dec. 2010, she explained the departure by saying, "I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy."
Now, Michaels is happy to announce that she is a mother -- times two!
Michaels told People magazine that she recently brought home 2-year-old daughter Lukensia from Haiti. That same week, her partner Heidi Rhoades gave birth to their newborn son, Phoenix, born May 3.
"We're swimming in babies over here," Michaels tells the magazine in the current issue.
In the interview, Michaels describes the two-year-long process that was involved in adopting Lukensia, and talks about her new full, hectic household.
"I don't even answer email. I don't have time to care about anything else," she said. "I want to be really present and enjoy all the nuances of their growth and development. I don't want to rush any of it."
